"Acknowledge your pain. Feel it. But please stop blaming yourself, God or anyone else."- Ellen DuBois, I Never Held You
I know after living through a miscarriage and blaming myself, God and anyone else I could think of that I wasn't helping myself. I was hurting myself. I also know it's very easy to wonder if you did anything wrong.
I get how it feels to retrace your footsteps and try to pinpoint the one thing you did that caused such a painful loss. When I couldn't find blame within myself, I questioned God. Why would my happiness be stolen from me? What did I do? Why me? So, if that's where you're at, I really do understand where you're coming from. But, take it from one who has lived it and finally came to a place where I stopped blaming myself: It wasn't your fault and hurting yourself over and over again in an attempt to find an answer just hurts you.
I am so sorry for your loss. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I'll be sharing quotes from my book on future posts and I hope you find them helpful. Love and Light, Ellen
